At Black Hammock Farm, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services. Due to the nature of our offerings, including live animals, all sales are final, with limited exceptions as outlined below. This return policy is designed to ensure clarity and protect the interests of Black Hammock Farm while maintaining fair treatment for our customers.

General Policy

Live Animal Sales:All sales of live animals, including livestock and poultry, are final. We take every measure to ensure the health and quality of our animals prior to purchase. Customers are encouraged to inspect animals at the time of pickup to ensure satisfaction. Once an animal leaves our premises, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds due to the variability in care, environment, and handling after the sale.Non-Livestock Products:For non-livestock products (e.g., feed, equipment, or other merchandise), returns may be accepted under the following conditions:The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when purchased.The return request must be made within 7 days of the purchase date.Proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, is required for all returns.

Eligibility for Returns or Refunds
Defective Merchandise:If a non-livestock item is found to be defective, customers must notify us within 3 days of receipt. We may, at our discretion:Replace the item with a new one.Issue a store credit for the purchase amount.Offer a refund, minus any applicable fees.Preorders and Deposits:Deposits for preordered livestock or poultry are non-refundable. However, if Black Hammock Farm is unable to fulfill the order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., health of the animal, availability issues), we will provide an alternative solution, such as:Offering a similar animal or product of equal value.Issuing a store credit for future use.Special Orders or Custom Requests:Custom orders are non-refundable and are not eligible for returns. Customers must confirm all details before placing an order.Shipping or Transportation Issues:Black Hammock Farm is not responsible for damages, delays, or losses incurred during transportation arranged by the customer or third parties. For orders we deliver, any issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Exclusions

No Returns on Used Items:Items that have been used, damaged, or altered in any way are not eligible for returns or refunds.No Refunds for Change of Mind:We cannot accept returns or provide refunds for items or animals purchased if the customer changes their mind after the sale.Final Sale Items:Certain items, as marked at the time of purchase, are sold as-is and are not eligible for returns or refunds under any circumstances.

Return Process

Contact us at [email protected] to request a return authorization within the applicable time frame.Provide proof of purchase and details about the item or animal in question.Once approved, items must be returned to Black Hammock Farm at the customer's expense unless otherwise agreed upon.


Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued in the original payment method or as store credit, at Black Hammock Farm's discretion. Refunds may be subject to the following: A 15% restocking fee for returned merchandise.Deductions for any shipping or handling costs incurred by Black Hammock Farm.
